Gary Coleman has died at the age of 42 after suffering a brain hemorrhage that left him in a coma and on life support, multiple news sources have confirmed. Read full story here.

I know I missed this because I was at the “Sex and the City 2″ Pre-Screening event (pictures will be up soon). I am a HUGE Janet fan, and wanted to share this with those who may have missed it as well. Janet is a timeless talent, so it is always great to see her perform. And she rocking her new do….DOPENESS!!
As we previously mentioned, we decided to document the behind-the-scenes activities that go into some of our more content-rich posts and provide you all with a glimpse of upcoming projects we’re working on. Me and Gezee have thrown around many labels to classify Meet the Fresh in a category or “type of blog” with no success. We’re not a fashion blog, or an entertainment blog. We love art but that’s not it either. We cover news but don’t boast of the contacts or resources to be a gossip blog (which we would never want to be anyway). What we are is more like an “online reality show”, and our posts are like episodes (I told you we were mad) filled with thoughtful writing and story telling visuals. Pretty exciting stuff if I do say myself. One new aspect to look forward to is video production sponsored by WAXWUN and Bestram Productions based out of Charlotte, NC. You can expect to see a series of interviews by Executive Producers WAXWUN and MTF’s Gezee Roze`with more interesting and inspiring people to add another dynamic to the site. You can also expect to see even more photography due to a new addition to the MTF family in the form of Roze’s new Canon DSLR. Yep, Gezee now has the photography bug and I intend to share all of my aquired knowledge with her. Updates to come in the very near future, and now to the last order of business. It’s recently occured to me and GR that there is some ongoing speculation about the nature of our relationship/partnership which is amusing to us. Anybody who knows us, knows how we “get down”. All I’ll say is, our relationship is spectacular lol. Till next time……..Dope
So many things to do in so little time. This blog has proven to be one of the most time consuming, yet rewarding, endeavors that me and Gezee ever took on, an organic lifestyle blog. We pride ourselves on providing original content and not the “cut and paste” style of blogging that so popular these days. In our quest for greatness we endure long nights and conduct extensive research that goes into making this site appealing. For that reason, we’ve decided to start our own Meet the Fresh journal entitled Diary of a Mad Blog, which will act as sort of a blueprint for upcoming projects. We’ve got some great things on the horizon including more shoots, interviews, our newest components to our production, video, and a MTF road trip that I’m not at liberty to speak about quite yet (more on that later). It’s no secret that we love sharing the Fresh with you guys but we also like to provide you with the behind-the-scenes footage to give you the big picture. You can think of this new series as a glimps “Behind-the-blog”……dope

In the city that is…lol! This week, I will be celebrating the release of this highly anticipated sequel, so my commentary will be central to that theme. When “Sex and the City” the movie was debut in 2008, it was focused more so on the new chapters these ladies were embarking on in their lives. Samantha dealing with life on the West Coast and being in a committed relationship; Miranda struggling with the work/life balance and trying to cope with the fact that her husband had been unfaithful (mostly because of her struggle in dealing with the work/life balance); Charlotte finding herself pregnant after giving up all hopes of having a child on her own; and the infamous Carrie Bradshaw finally marrying the man of her dreams-Big.
In recent Meet the Fresh business I found myself stepping from my usual role as photographer (temporarily) to subject for a photo shoot I was invited to by “Bad” Jon Stout, a well established photographer out of Charleston, showcasing a few of the leaders in streetwear and street culture, and even though MTF isn’t what we classify as a streetwear blog but more so a lifestyle blog, me and Gezee are engulfed in street culture through the various artists we work with which plays a major part in both of our lives. Luckily, I had previously worked with each participant so the shoot went as cool as a fan. As my respective “prop” I was asked to bring my camera and tripod to represent my role in the mix of diverse and unique individuals. The shots came out dope, and I was able to document the behind the scenes activities of the shoot with my own camera. The shoot was held at Ocean Industries Studios which is, by far, the best studio I’ve ever been to. Eric, the ”Rick Rueben look-a-like” and resident engineer was great and gave me free reign to shoot whatever I wanted to. When the work week ends on Friday that’s usually when we get heavy, heavy, heavy on our grizzle here at MTF. In between planning and production of the finished products (posts) are the little bits of inspiration we recieve on the way. Here are a few shots from an eventful weekend. The old man on the bike was hilarious, and clearly more concerned with bumming a cigarette than having his picture on the internet…….Dope
