Music, Video: Solange T.O.N.Y
Entertainment: Wattstax

My favorite concert movie of all-time has got to be Wattstax. I noticed the DVD one day a few years back, at my mom’s house and didn’t know what it was, but it looked interesting so I borrowed it. In all seriousness, I watched the DVD back-to-back for about four days, and showed all my close friends, who in turn, watched it back-to-back. It’s that good, but it seems that there’s an overwhelming number of people who aren’t aware of the event for some reason or another. If your like me, you weren’t around so allow MTF to educate you.
Random Thoughts: The Roots Remain Unbitten

One of my daily random internet searches brought me to this marvelous illustration done by Eric Jordan of Format Magazine of Black Thought, the front man for the Legendary Roots Crew. One thing I love about The Roots is, they make great music. Not just great rap, but great music which made me ask myself a question: Why aren’t their any more Hip-Hop bands? The Roots’ “hip-hop band” may be the only unbitten element in hip-hop….ever!!
Footwear: Converse First String Chuck Taylor Specialty Ox

Being a huge Chuck Taylor fan, I’ve got these on my updated wish list. Converse has released its new OX series model, sporting the classic All-Star style with a few upgrades including a vintage license plate logo on the back, a higher rubber rand (sole), and an improved cushioning system for continuous comfort. They’re available in two denim tones and can go with pretty much anything, casual or dressy. I WILL have these. Definitely dope…..to see more pics
