Fashion: Anatomy of a Hat Part 2 – The Bucket Hat

A bucket hat, or fishing hat, is a soft cotton hat with a wide and downwards sloping brim which is worn by both men and women. The brim offers shade from the sun for the eyes and face. They are usually made from heavy-duty cotton fabrics such as denim, or canvas. Two metal eyelets are commonly placed on each side of the hat so that it is cool to wear on hot days

Random Thoughts: What If This Had Really Happened……


This is an editorial from a 1985 issue of Ebony Magazine of what the late King of Pop, Michael Jackson would look like in the year 2000. Needless to say, they weren’t quite right on this one but it is interesting to see an aged, plastic surgery-free MJ. The tie, jacket, and shirt ensemble is actually a great look that can be worn today, and other than the leisure curl, that’s definitely the 40 yr old, “Black Mike”. I’m just surprised they were able to alter the pic back then. There wasn’t any Photoshop in ’85. It’s fun to imagine…..dope
