Random Thoughts: People PLEASE….Leave old folks alone! LOL!!

YouTube Preview Image

I am going to need for people to stop picking on old folks just cause they are old…lol! Cause that does not mean a thing! Old folks will get down just like the young ones if you push them far enough. We learned from the video of that younger black guy getting his face bashed in on the bus by the old white guy that you should respect old schoolers. This call is another example of why you should not cross an old person…..they will mess you up!! ROTFL!!

Random Thoughts: Cars playing “red light, green light” on Sharon Rd.

Now this is a really random thought, but I was watching FOX Charlotte News at 10 last night and there was a story they aired I found interesting, but for reasons other than what was the actual point of the story.

Entertainment: Little kids reenact movie “Scarface” for school play

Now I know that Scarface is a classic. We all love that movie, and I know I watch it every time it comes on T.V. (I used to have the VHS). But when did it become appropriate for adolescents to celebrate and mimic this film?

Lifestyle: A Tribute to Bicycles

I love going downtown and seeing bike riders in the streets. There’s a bit of eccentricism about an adult riding a bike through the city. It says something about them. They’re saving gas or they’re eco-friendly, or they’re efficient, or they’re into physical fitness….something. Whatever you want to classify them as….they’re not typical. Why? Because adults don’t ride bycycles. They drive cars, they go to work and they raise kids, and most hardly even expose themselves to the elements, but recently I’ve found myself wanting to ride a bike and reflecting back on my childhood when my bike was my only mode of transportation and basically, my life. I never knew I would come to a point in time when it would actually be considered somewhat eccentric to be riding a bicycle in the street as an adult but it is. With Spring here and summer approaching, I wanted to share the possiblity of cycling in the upcoming warm months, and if my words aren’t enough check out these fly bicycles, sure to spark interest or at least nostalgia.

Random Thoughts: A Guide to Southern Strip Club Etiquette

A recent exchange of strip club stories between me and a good friend of mine began with us telling some wierd things we’ve seen in the strip club, which lead to a few different conversations. The first asked the question, where are the stripper success stories? We always hear about girls stripping to put themselves through school, but I’ve never actually met a former stripper who went on to be a physician, but that’s another story. The second discussion had to deal with unofficial rules of the strip club. In this case a Southern strip club, because it was brought to my attention that strip club etiquette is regional with different customs and practices that patrons should know and abide by. Here are a few tips that can help to make your trip to the strip club a memorable one.

Fashion: Pak Headwear Spring/Summer 2010

In talks with my man Phillip Anthony, CEO and designer for Pak Headwear, the upcoming Spring/Summer season is about to be monumental for the Atlanta based cap company. After closing my retail store and moving to the ATL a few years ago (before relocating again), I managed to meet Phil through another good friend and he would tell me about the launch and how the hats are going to change the headwear game, which is why I’m super excited to be posting about the launch of the new VA Tech line (more to come) thats going to be hitting stores in the upcoming months.

Entertainment: Rah’s “Call of Duty 2 – Modern Warfare” Exclusive

If you use phrases like stopping power, going commando, and noob tube you have probably spent at least one hour trying to destroy your enemies in activisions “Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2”. This latest title from the top selling gaming franchise “Call of duty” is quite possibly one of the most addictive and satisfying first person shooter games to date. With multiple game modes, including single player campaign mode , special ops missions for you and a friend, and of course the multiplayer where you are free to spend as much effort as you like trying to kill or be killed in game rooms holding anywhere from 8 – 16 players via the internet. All while using an array of true real life weapons that give any firearms enthusiast a full-on rager. Any gamer worth his or her salt has probably been wasted by a 12 year old prepubesant boy who slams mountain dew and thinks watching wrestling and ufc is keeping up with current events. As awful as that sounds joystick jockeys such as myself can’t get enough of this non stop action packed game that is filled with more violence than a Tarantino flick.
