I definitely can’t let the week go by without talking about my new favorite rapper. I’m sure by now you’ve heard the first certified hit of 2010, “Pants on the Ground” by General Larry Platt, the 62 yr old activist from Atlanta, GA who’s made the catchiest hook since “Turn My Swag On” by Solja Boy Tell’em. After performing the song while auditioning for American Idol in Atlanta it’s become a viral hit, with everybody from Jimmy Fallon to Brett Favre and the Vikings singing “Pants on the Ground”(I saw it….hilarious), in addition to an appearance on The View. He’s the new Drake (twf),  but what I didn’t know was that Larry Platt’s actually had his own personal holiday(Larry Platt Day) in Atlanta since 2001 for his work as a Civil Rights activist. The bottom line is, the guy’s a star, he’s a genious, and he’s about to get paid. I’m actually looking forward to the remix because any rapper would be a complete idiot not to jump on this track. Basically, the song has all the ingredients of a hit record.  Click Here
